World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.
For example an item with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment with a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.
The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much it will increase after a future reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a substantial chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.
In the endgame, you will often find that the best way to improve your gear is by placing Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a statistic by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for example should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to increase the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded item upgrader may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level requires a different number of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets advanced in level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When the player upgrades an item it will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This could be a disadvantage since the item may increase in price even if you don't require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful but it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.
Some upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the maximum roll by 10 points. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The upgrader for items allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and armor) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert to its initial state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained, such as chances to be crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
